10 Things to Consider Before Purchasing a Swimming Pool

How To Clean A Swimming Pool - WaterTechIf you’ve been toying with the idea of buying a pool, there are some important things you need to take into consideration before taking the plunge. Here are things to think about before buying a pool.

Summertime is the perfect time to invest in a Swimmingpool. Whether you want an above-ground or in-ground pool, there are many things you need to consider prior to making your purchase. Here are things to keep in mind before you take the plunge and buy a swimming pool.

Things to Consider Before Purchasing a Swimming Pool

1. Your budget

How much money are you willing to spend on your new pool? Pools can range in price depending on materials, size, and type. It’s important to do your research and figure out how much you’re willing to spend on your new backyard oasis before starting your search. You don’t want to fall in love with a pool that’s out of your price range.

2. The size of your yard

Before you start shopping for pools, you need to measure your yard and determine how much space you have for your new addition. You also need to consider Town regulations and covenants that might restrict the size or type of pool you can install.

3. Who will be using the pool?

If small children or non-swimmers will be using the pool, safety must be your top priority when selecting a pool type and features. Pools with shallow ends and built-in safety features such as ladders or steps are ideal for families with young children who want to enjoy the water without needing adult supervision.  4. How often will it be used?

5. What type of pool do you want?

There are three main types of pools—above-ground, semi-inground, and inground—and each has its own set of pros and cons that need to be considered before making a decision. An inground pool is permanent and can add resale value to your home but is also the most expensive option, while an above-ground pool is more affordable but won’t last as long or add value to your home as an inground pool would.

6. What shape do you want?

After deciding on which type of pool is right for you, it’s time to decide what shape suits both your needs and aesthetic preferences best: rectangular, kidney-shaped, oval, or freeform. Each shape has its own set of benefits that should be considered based on how you plan on using your pool as well as the size and layout of your backyard space.

7. What material do I want?

There are three main types of inground pools—fiberglass, concrete, and vinyl liner—and each has different benefits that will impact both the look (and feel) of your pools as well as how long it will last and how much maintenance it will require over time.

8. Do I want any additional features?

In addition to the basics—a pump and filter system—there are many other features available that can turn an ordinary pool into an extraordinary one, including ladders or steps, diving boards, slides, lights, fountains, etc.—the sky really is the limit when it comes to accessorizing your new backyard swimming hole.

9. Which company should I buy from?

Not all companies who sell pools are created equal; it’s important that you do some research before making a purchase from any given company 10.. How will I maintain my new pool?
